iv read the other 2 books and loved them and although this is by far an excellent book i wouldn't favor it as much as the other books mainly because it failed to grip me like the others. the story is good but i felt that after the story switches to scotland the plot had paused. later on the story picks up again and it dose get interesting and ends well. i recommend the book and of course the whole trilogy its the best iv read in a long time.

Having read the first two books and absolutely loved them, this last book of the trilogy really finishes off the series perfectly. All the way through the characters have had depth, the storyline credibility, and each was a page-turner.

As with the first two books this one may feel quite heavy at first with what at times seemed too much detail. However stick with it, clearly Robyn Young has done a huge amount of research into this time period, to make you really feel you are there, with characters that you can understand and relate to.

In the end as with the other books the 700 pages flew by, and gripped me all the way through. This is an excellent book and a fitting end to the trilogy. Overall a great story with great characters, well written, gripping, and highly recommended. If you like historical fiction and haven't tried Robyn Young then you really should give her a go.

this final chapter of the brethren has exhelirated me after i have read it and the course of the story has slightly followed different path from it's previous books . however, the story itself has historical context espacially the scotland independence struggle against the king Edward and thei alleiance with france as well as king Philip le Bel crushing down the knight templars to finance his war agaisnt the english. However , though, because of the diffent course of events in this book: Campbell's own struggle is at cross purposes with much stonger political events and drifting between these different topics migh have given this story a unique reading experience espacially if i wanted to read more about any certain topic such as King bruce of scots or william wallace wherein they have taken a greate share in this novel i can buy any book recommended by the author in the bibliography section and thanks to her by pinpoiting these referrence books.

I own and have read the first two instalments of this trilogy, which i have very much enjoyed and i am sure that il in enjoy this final instalment. If you are interested in stories about the crusades or similar stuff, then this may be of interest to you. Even tho these are fictional novels, these are a great read and you really get drawn into the story.

Great last book to a great trilogy. Although fiction, it is based on some history, which I found informative, enough to want to find out more. A really great easy read, thanks to Robyn. I look forward to reading more of her books.
